Heartbreak of last week
Last week was not so good for me for one particular reason. The main reason why last week was not good for me is because last Wednesday on the 8th of October 2014 I received a letter that stated that I have been officially been kicked out of my football team due to the fact that I have missed lots of training sessions and matches since the beginning of the season. Reading this letter made me feel down for the rest of the week because I feel like I have let down my football team because I haven't been there to play my position. This letter from the club made me understand that there is plenty more sacrifices that I am going to have to make it I want to achieve this long term goal of mine which is to achieve D* D* D.
Last week challenges
The week that just went was what I can call a hectic week. The reason why last week was hectic is because I had three assignments that the due dates were very close together. Two out of the three assignments required me to meet the merit criteria; this meant that I had to put extra detail in all my explanations. In order for me to complete the assignments last week to the best of my ability and to put the detail that the merit criteria needs I had to sacrifice my nights, I didn't sleep for more than four hours throughout the whole of last week. I didn't even sleep on Thursday because I was working throughout the whole night trying to meet the merit criteria for spreadsheet modelling. The only thing that kept me motivated is the fact that I needed to complete this assignment and meet the criteria in order to achieve my target grade. I also knew that the late nights will pay off when I get an offer at Kings College London to study computer science and business management but I have to keep in perspective that if I keep sleep depriving myself It will affect me in my lessons because I might be feeling drowsy in class and not be able to focus. This can have long term effect on my targets because if am always sleepy in class it means that I would not be able to take down notes that is needed to achieve the criteria that is needed to get distinctions in all my units.
Week commencing objectives
Next week I am planning to go to my football club and talk to the coach because I don't want to leave on bad terms. I want to go the club to explain to my manager why I have been missing training sessions and matches and hopefully he understands that I have picked IT as my main priority and that I am just trying to chase my dream same way the boys that never miss a training session or match are trying to chase theirs. I hope this would clear the air between both of us and I will ask if I am allowed to come back to train with the team on holidays.
